About Feral Foodies...
Feral Foodies was created by an Emergency Nurse, sick & tired of feeling sick & tired. Working night shift for more than 30 years was not an issue until natural aging, a severe injury resulting in back surgery, & contracting Covid changed everything.
My personal perspective is that Western medicine is just a band-aid that hides symptoms, not a solution to what is wrong. Wanting more, I went down quite a few rabbit holes trying to figure out my new / old / injured body. I finally discovered Functional Nutrition & realized I had been on that nutritional track for more than a decade without knowing it had an entire established medical pathway.
My motto: Don't put better gas in your car than you put food in your body.
Here we offer our best information, advice, & know-how without overstepping our knowledgebase. There is no longer any reason to feel exhausted, in pain & in a fog on a daily basis. Does this take the place of a Doctor?
While our focus is rooted in Functional Nutrition (food, lifestyle, and overall health), no - we are not diagnosing or treating any medical condition you may have. We are simply attempting to provide information that will help you to navigate your health, while addressing specific body systems. There is information provided on specific medical conditions, but our hope is that you gain knowledge that will help you to become empowered and start to get a firm grip on your overall health. We suggest before making any drastic changes, discuss your health goals with your healthcare provider. Until that day comes, cleaning up your life a bit never hurt anyone.

Will these eBooks eliminate the need for medicines?
Eventually, hopefully - but not our books... your dedication should do the trick. We do NOT encourage you to stop taking any prescribed medications but instead encourage you to speak with your doctor about the changes you have made and if you have plans to stop taking medications, what will have to happen in order to do so safely. For instance, if you are currently taking blood pressure medications, continue to do so while incorporating a healthy whole foods diet with daily exercise appropriate for your level of fitness - again, check with your physician to determine your threshold. With continued monitoring by that physician, we hope there will be a time SOON that you are no longer medication-dependent. Food is healing and lifestyle changes count. Do the work.
